Boiling Springs Bank Donates $10,000 to Chilton Hospital for the Pediatric Clinic
On January 24, Boiling Springs Savings Bank generously donated $10,000 to the Chilton Hospital Foundation for use in the hospital’s Pediatric Clinic. Boiling Springs became the first company to contribute to the Clinic in 2007 and has given $65,000 to date.
The Pediatric Clinic at Chilton, now in its 18th year of service, provides comprehensive primary care services and 24-hour telephone coverage to uninsured and underserved patients. It serves approximately 1,000 children of culturally diverse backgrounds from Morris, Passaic, Bergen, and Sussex Counties in New Jersey.
“Chilton Hospital’s programs and services complement our organization’s goals to support those in need throughout the community,” said Boiling Springs Chairman of the Board Kenneth J. Grimbilas. “Their caregivers not just help people heal, but they also touch lives. It gives us great pleasure to support Chilton’s Pediatric Clinic and help the organization continue to provide personalized care.”
The $10,000 donation from Boiling Springs came from its Donations Committee, which has provided a total of $220,000 to organizations like Chilton in 2012. In addition to the Donations Committee’s contributions, Boiling Springs offers a Community Alliance Program (CAP), which has benefitted numerous non-profits.
For the fourth quarter of 2012, 104 organizations in the CAP shared donations in excess of $83,000. Since the program’s inception in 2006, donations have totaled more than $1,105,000. Donations from the CAP were $305,000 in 2012 alone.
“The Boiling Springs CAP has been highly beneficial for the Chilton Hospital Auxiliary,” said Interim Director of Chilton Hospital Foundation and Director of Community Outreach Joan Beloff. “Our CAP account received a payout of almost $2,500 for the fourth quarter, bringing total donations received to more than $19,000 to the Auxiliary to date.”
