Kinnelon Boy Scouts Take on Catamount Aerial Adventure Park
Kinnelon Boy Scouts in Troop 277 took on the Catamount Aerial Adventure Park on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. The Catamount, located in Hillsdale, NY, is the largest of its kind in the northeast and was designed by Swiss Alpine Moutaineers.
Similar to trails at ski resorts, the Catamount features 12 courses of varying difficulties and age requirements: yellow, green, blue, black and double black. Participants were challenged to cross bridges, climb ladders, maneuver obstacles and take on zip lines.
The park is situated on 10 wooded acres and features more than 170 tree-installed platforms. Bridges made of cable, wood, rope and zip lines join the platforms throughout the park.
According to many boys in the troop, this was one of the most exciting and memorable trips ever.

Was a Scout with Troop 277 45 years ago. Since then my son, and now grandsons, are in Scouts. Wish we could've gone to Catamount. Keep up the good work Scouts!
