Reformed Church in Kinnelon Offers a Three-Part

Discussion Series on Raising Moral Children

The Reformed Church in Kinnelon (RCK) will provide parents of young children (ages 2 through 5) some help with teaching children to be kind, just and responsible at a discussion group to meet on the third Thursdays of January, February and March 2013. The discussions will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the church’s education wing.

“Parenting is today’s culture is a tremendous challenge,” states Rev. Beverly Sullivant, Pastor of the Reformed Church in Kinnelon, adding, “As a congregation, we feel it is important to provide families with resources. We hope that this series on raising moral children will be helpful to the community.”

“Fostering Empathy” is the subject to be discussed on Thursday, January 17.

“Teaching Fairness” is the subject to be discussed on Thursday, February 21.

“How to Address Aggression” is the subject to be discussed on Thursday, March 21.

“Families in this area are trying to give their children the best of everything,” comments Sullivant, “the best schools, the best athletic opportunities, the best enrichment, etc. This discussion series attempts to help parents give their kids the best of moral guidance as well.”
