REFORMED CHURCH IN KINNELON PARTICIPATES IN OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
- Name: VIVIAN VINCI
- Occasion: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Kinnelon—On Sunday, November 4, at 11:30 a.m., the Reformed Church in Kinnelon (RCK) will participate in a gift-wrapping party for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of the humanitarian relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. At this event, shoe boxes will be filled with toys and personal items. The shoe boxes will later be delivered to a drop-off location in Hawthorne, NJ.
“Operation Christmas Child allows us to help other children have Christmas gifts,” comments Rev. Beverly Sullivant, RCK pastor. “We buy the gifts and OCC sends them around the world. Hundreds of other churches in the area will be doing the same thing.
“Every year we have lots of fun doing this,” continues Sullivant. “It a chance to have fellowship while we do mission work. Plus, we get to eat a lot of great chili!”
Members of the Kinnelon-area community are welcome to participate. For more information, please call the church at 973-838-3113.
