AAA Offering Free Towing for Tipsy Drivers in Essex, Morris and Union Counties
Service available to all motorists.
AAA of Essex, Morris and Union counties is offering free “tipsy tows” for motorists who have had too much to drink. Motorists can get a free vehicle tow courtesy of AAA by calling 800-AAA-HELP (222-4357).
The service is available year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is available to AAA members and non-members alike.
The tow and the ride is free for the first 15 miles. A fee of $1 per mile will be charged for every mile beyond that.

I'm sorry, but I have to laugh at this. The last two times I had an issue, and contacted AAA when my car was stuck in the middle of a highway in snow, they had an automated message stating 'WE ARE NOT SERVING ESSEX COUNTY.' Beware what you are paying into. As I stated, I had been a member of AAA for years, and stopped because the last two times I needed their services, they 'were not serving Essex County.' NJM offers similar services in addition to their insurance, so I opt to stick with them.
