Amelia Lowe Gets Purr-fect Reviews on 'So You Think You Can Dance?'
Butler teen vying for national dance title on television competition.
Judges on the FOX dancing competition show "So You Think You Can Dance?" had nothing but kind words to offer Amelia Lowe after her performance on Wednesday's live episode.
Lowe, 18, of Butler, is competing amongst the Top 20 for the title of America's Favorite Dancer. Lowe and partner Will Thomas, another competitor on the show, performed to "The Lovecats" by The Cure.
After the performance, which included dancing in and around an alley dumpster on stage, the judges expressed their admiration of both Lowe and Thomas.
"It was purr-fect," Mary Murphy, a judge on the show, said.
Murphy later called Lowe a "quirky little vixen."
All three judges had cat puns to offer in honor of the name of the song the duo danced to. But the judges also said they were impressed with the moves and judge Nigel Lythgoe labeled the performance "memorable."
"This is another great partnership here," he said. "Amelia is quirky and crazy, Will's just plain crazy and personality is so, so important on this show."
The show airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. on FOX.
