Bloomingdale Man Arrested on Warrant

Police said man had warrant out of Paterson.

 

A 27-year-old Bloomingdale man was arrested on a warrant in Butler Wednesday after police stopped the blue 2006 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving was pulled over after police discovered the warrant.

Christopher Kent had an active arrest warrant out of Paterson Municipal Court for $200.

Police said the vehicle was stopped at about 11:37 a.m. by Ptl. Dimitri Clarke. Kent was arrested and transported to the Butler police station. He was able to post bail and was released. Sgt. Keith Soules assisted with the arrest.

Apparently they just pull up behind people and run your license plate nowadays. Kinda doesn't seem fair, right? Especially cuz the warrant was for an unpaid parking violation. But hey, they get $ however they can
