The Bloomingdale Police Department would like congratulate Det./Sgt. Steven Caputo, Ptl. Marc Loveland, Ptl. David Terpstra and Ptl. Steven Smith who all participated in the Police Unity Tour.
The Unity Tour raises money for the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund which remembers law enforcement officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of work. The four participated in a bicycle tour which started in East Hanover on May 9 and ended in Washington, D.C. on May 12 and culminated in a candlelight memorial service on May 13 which recognizes all the law enforcement officers who had died the previous year.
In order to participate, the four officers had to raise money and were able to raise over $7,000 for the Memorial Fund. On behalf of Det./Sgt. Caputo, Ptl. Loveland, Ptl. Terpstra and Ptl. Smith and all the officers of the Bloomingdale Police Department, we would like to thank all who contributed and helped make our participation possible.
