Butler Man Accused of Dealing Drugs From Home

Morris County Prosecutor's Office said more than 16 ounces of marijuana found in residence.

A 21-year-old man was charged Wednesday with possession and distribution of marijuana.

John T. Podstawski was charged with four counts of possession of marijuana, three counts of distribution of marijuana over 1 once and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, a joint investigation was conducted by the , Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Crime Task Force and Special Enforcement Unit after Podstawski was identified for allegedly selling large quantities of marijuana from his Butler home. Police searched the home early Wednesday morning and discovered more than 16 ounces of marijuana valued at more than $4,500 and two vehicles valued at $20,000.

Podstawski was transported to the Butler Police Department and later transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
