Butler Police Arrest Two on Warrants

The following arrest information was supplied by the Butler Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Two were arrested separately on warrants in Butler Sunday.

At about 2:07 a.m., Butler police were on routine patrol on High Street when they conducted a random license plate inquiry on a 2001 Nissan and allegedly discovered an outstanding warrant for the owner, Gerald Debonte, 28, of Bloomingdale.

Police said they confirmed the warrant, which was out of the Butler Municipal Court for $114, and arrested Debonte. Debonte posted bail and was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle without a properly affixed inspection sticker, police said. He was released in his own recognizance.

Also Sunday, at about 9:03 a.m., police were on routine patrol on Western Avenue when the conducted a random license plate inquiry on a green Lexus owned by Kedron C. Belfon, 24, of East Orange. Police said they allegedly found an outstanding arrest warrant for Belfon for $300 from the Union Township Municipal Court.

Belfon was arrested and transported to the Butler police station where he posted bail. He was released in his own recognizance with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.
