For the second time this year, the tri-boro has a resident competing on a national television show on FOX.

Amelia Lowe, an 18-year-old from Butler, has made it into the Top 20 on the dance competition show.

According to her bio on the FOX "So You Think You Can Dance" website, Lowe lives at home in Butler with her parents and is a high school senior at Academy of Visual and Performing Arts in Denville. She also interns, teaching ballet to five-year-olds, at the Dance Academy of North Jersey.

Also this year, Kinnelon's Elise Testone made it to the Top 6 on "American Idol" before being eliminated.

"So You Think You Can Dance" will air a new episode July 11 on FOX at 8 p.m.
