Firehouse Lease, Road Improvements to Be Discussed at Council Meeting
The Kinnelon Council will be meeting Thursday at 8 p.m.
The Kinnelon Council is will be voting on a resolution to authorize the mayor to enter a lease agreement for the Kinnelon Volunteer Fire Co. Firehouse No. 2 at Thursday's regular meeting.
The councilmen will also discuss an ordinance to appropriate $175,000 for various road repairs and amending a bond ordinance to include repairs to Woodland Court in the improvements of Cutlass Road.
Also on Thursday's agenda are a resolution to award a contract to Connolly and Hickey for a historical preservation plan for L'Ecole Kinnelon Museum and an ordinance to renew the borough's cable television franchise agreement with Cablevision.
Several appointments are expected to be made at the meeting, including Anne Arnowitz to the Kinnelon Public Library Board of Trustees; Nina Mickey, Carol Vreeland and Councilman Gary Moleta to the Committee for Sustainable New Jersey; and Jeannie Armstrong as second alternate to the Recreation Commission.
Awards will also be given to three Kinnelon police officers.
The meeting will be held at the Kinnelon Municipal Building, 130 Kinnelon Road, at 8 p.m.
