Rodney - Do what you can to end the grid-lock in Washington without giving up on what you truly believe in.

I've been asking him to do that for years, but Rodney puts his party first, and has contributed to the grid-lock.

Does anyone know if he signed the Norquist pledge?

I did not vote for Mr. F but I am merely a voice in the wilderness that he will never hear, he being safely sequestered in his fortress of ignorance.

Instead of writing a letter to voters,how about going to JCP&L and demanding that they work 24-7 until all power is restored. I would like the Congressman to detail his efforts during this crisis.

I agree with J Nappa; JCP&L did not do their due diligence BEFORE the superstorm. They could have been cutting/trimming trees all spring and summer throughout the state after the snowstorm of 2011; perhaps there would not have been such destruction in north Jersey. Remember the old JCP&L before being taken over by First Energy, now that was one efficient utility in its day. The utility company is not just bond to give you power but to maintain the trees and update lines and wires. We, as good citizens and neighbors, should also remember that we too are responsible for tree maintenance on our property.

I am aware of the role of the federal government and Congress. However, he could use his office to exert pressure, he could simply show his face in some of the Towns effected. A letter thanking his voters while most were in the dark and cold shows how out of touch he is with the people.

I've been voting AGAINST Sir Rodney for the past few elections; and I'm a Republican!

He's not doing ANYTHING for us in Morris County but since he's a Republican with a nice family name he'll always get re-elected.

It's disappointing that Rep Frelinghusen's chooses to reiterate the worn out talking point get government 'out of the way' even as we need FEMA to help the Garden State. Let's be clear:
1) We voted for the most privileged in our society to pay their fair shares of taxes, beginning by allowing the Bush tax breaks for the rich to expire.
2) We voted to reward companies who create jobs at home instead of those who export them to other countries.
3) We voted against redefining rape and curbing women's rights by bringing personal morality into governance, crossing the sacred line between religious preference and religious dominance.
4) We voted against privatizing social services such as Social Security, Medicare, and FEMA.
5) We voted for our students to have access to affordable education and be prepared for the job market upon graduation.
6) We voted for access to health care that puts people's well-being ahead of corporate bottom lines.
7) We voted to use the power of the federal government to help in the creation of jobs for Americans, be it by helping private companies or through needed social services, such as the repair of our aging infrastructure.
8) We also voted for many other reasons, but by this petition, we demand that you, those we recently elected or kept in power, to tend to these issues urgently, representing our views instead of your personal preferences.
I hope we now are clear as to what we have hired you to do at this time.
