The kids of Butler and Bloomingdale got their day of trick-or-treating Saturday after Halloween festivities were postponed in the boroughs because of damage left by Tropical Storm Sandy.
Back this year, the Nightmare on Bailey Ave. event brought kids and their parents to the Bailey Avenue neighborhood, in Bloomingdale, for a spooky haunted house and egg "haunt."
Kinnelon's trick-or-treating will be held Nov. 10.

How wonderful it is for the children that the residents of Bailey Avenue rose to the occasion despite all of their hardships. They brought a very bright spot into an otherwise dreary week for the little ones, who surely don't understand about emergencies. I certainly hope we won't hear any sourgrape type remarks about "appropriateness". Fun for children is ALWAYS appropriate! Thank you to the families for their work and to Ray Yazdi for fighting for this.

Carolyn, stop you politicizing. You attacked the reps for their sponsors, the same goes for you. You are not that important!!!!
