In a commemoration event that was, at times, somber and at times filled with American pride, the communities of Butler and Bloomingdale came together Tuesday night for the annual Candlelight Walk.
Participants gathered at Bloomingdale Borough Hall and walked through the borough to Butler Park, where mayors, musical performers and speakers memorialized the attacks on America on September 11, 2001.

Not that such a silly comment needs a response, but, if look at the pictures on the Patch, you will see that both Chief Hudson and Chief Lime of the BLFD marched and in front of Chief Neill and Chief Barry. The seven men in the color guard are five from Bloomingdale and two from Butler. The purpose on the event was to remember the tragedy of eleven years, not to see who could put more trucks or men in the line march.

It's not a contest to see who has the biggest turout but something to memorialize those who perished. Locally in the towns of our area we have many good and great members of all of our volunteer service organizations.
For reasons that I will not go into I was not able to make this one. I do try to be there on Memorial Day which is for giving rembrances of all those who have died in the service of our country and victims of attacks against our country. On Veterans Day, Nov. 11th, I have tried to be there a number of times when our veterans conduct their ceremony at the monument.

New generation, you are an absolute joke. You have no concept of spelling or grammar and you don't have any idea what you are talking about. Hudson (who was walking) is Bloomingdale's main chief. I'm not sure of Butler having more men, their is only one Butler Firefighter in the honor guard. It does not make any difference how many trucks they have in the parade, Bloomingdale could have easily brought the other two. You should crawl under a rock and pray some people never find you for the disrespect you have caused and about an event such as this.
