Several Kinnelon Board of Education members made comments about teachers grades 6 through 12 only offering extra help after school on Thursdays. The teachers' union and board are still in the process of negotiating a new contract.

Getty Gas Station Owner Leads Others in $8-Per-Gallon Lukoil Protest

Ameer Krass said he was fed up with the prices his gasoline supplier, Lukoil, was charging him. So, he organized a protest Wednesday involving 57 gas stations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that charged consumers more than $8 per gallon for 24 hours.

Bloomingdale Board in Support of Avalon Bay PILOT Program

Bloomingdale Board of Education members had few comments on the proposed Payment in Lieu of Taxes program the Borough of Bloomingdale is considering offering to luxury apartment developer Avalon Bay. But Board President Lauren Grecco said the board is supportive if the Bloomingdale Council decides to move forward with the program.
