'Mama Drama' Unleashed Starring Local Ladies

VH1 reality show follows young-spirited moms and their daughters as they party, fight and bond.

The bond between mother and daughter is unique. Throw some alcohol, mini skirts and nearly a dozen women with strong personalities in the mix and you have the premise of VH1's newest reality television show "Mama Drama."

"VH1 is putting one of the most important human relationships under the microscope -- the complex dynamics that develop between a mother and her young, adult daughter," a description of the show on VH1's website said. "This 10 episode docu-series will uncover five sets of over-the-top mothers/daughter pairs that will leave you wondering, 'who is the 'grown-up' and who is the child?'"

The show, which stars residents Debbie and Gina DeAngelo, premieres on July 18 at 11 p.m.

Debbie DeAngelo, 48, is a 1981 graduate, a manicurist and Lia Sophia jewelry advisor. Gina DeAngelo, 24, is a Pequannock High School graduate and event-planner out of New York City.

Ironically, both women said that when the cameras are not rolling, they tend to live drama-free lives. at their Butler home in December, when the show was originally scheduled to air.

Young-acting parents appears to be a theme in the trailer for the show, as viewers watch one of the mothers shopping for diapers at a grocery store, as she apparently wears them when she is out drinking alcohol to avoid going to the bathroom.
