Meet Sub-editor Ellen Oxild, Submit Your Wedding Photos
Oxild to take the reigns for two weeks while Local Editor Ariana Cohn gets hitched.
Almost as much as I've been following up with tri-boro councils and boards of education this year, many of you have been following up with me about when I'm getting married. Especially in the past month, it has seemed as though everywhere I've gone, people who have known about my pending wedding have asked, "Are you married yet?"
Well, folks, the time has come. As of this Saturday, I will no longer be "Ariana Cohn" and very well could be "Ariana Sheehan" or "Ariana Cohn-Sheehan" (still haven't decided whether to hyphenate for Patch...what do you guys think?).
Wedding planning has been a rocky road: I've gained and lost a few bridesmaids, had some anxiety this week over my venue already displaying Christmas decorations and, of course, had a few arguments over the guest list. I can say that I am so incredibly excited not only to get married but for the wedding planning to end. Also for the two-week honeymoon and vacation I am taking.
But enough about me. I know what you're all thinking. Well, what's going to happen to "the Patch?"
Don't worry. Just like with my wedding, I have a plan.
I'd like to introduce you all to Ellen Oxild, a Montville resident and Patch contributor who will be taking over as sub-editor while I am gone. You can read more about Ellen in her bio here, but I can assure you that she is familiar with the tri-boro and many of you may have already seen her at a few government meetings she has covered in the past.
Ellen has some great articles in store for Tri-Boro Patch readers in my absence including coverage of Veteran's Day events, Thanksgiving features, coverage of council meetings and more. She will also entertain any story ideas you may have, so feel free to contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 973-768-7233.
In the spirit of the occasion, I'm encouraging you to submit your own wedding photos by uploading to this article. Everyone (or mostly everyone) is proud of their special day and why not share an image of your moment with Patch? When I return on Nov. 28, I'll share one of mine.
