Police: Hit-and-Run Victim Died From Injuries Sunday
Body builder was allegedly struck while crossing North Bergen street.
A 42-year-old Butler man died Sunday from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident in North Bergen about a week ago, according to The Jersey Journal.
Omar Monroig died at Hackensack University Medical Center at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. He was taken there on the evening of March 24 after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen, according to the Jersey Journal.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office told Patch the investigation is being handled by the North Bergen Police Department.
