Police Investigating Rafkind Road Property Damage

Bloomingdale police are investigating apparent property damage at a home on Rafkind Road.

Police received a call from the homeowner that a gate had been damaged on Friday. Police said they are unsure whether the damage was caused by a person or nature.

  • Alexander Camacho, 27, of Willmanvic, CT, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Police stopped the vehicle Camacho was driving on Route 287 South at 2 p.m. on Jan. 16. He was released with a summons to appear in court at a later date.
  • Jose Mulero, 61, of Haledon, was arrested on an active warrant out of Wayne Township on Wednesday. Police said they stopped the vehicle he was driving around 2:14 p.m. on Main Street. He was transported to the Bloomingdale police station, posted bail and was released.
  • Police and Bloomingdale Fire Department officials responded to a call of smoke inside a residence on Hilltop Terrace  at about 7:10 p.m. Police said no fire was discovered, but the fire department found that the odor was coming from a light bulb. The bulb was removed.
