Bloomingdale police are continuing to search for a 35-year-old man who was reported missing Sunday after police said he failed to return home from a neighbor's house on Glenwild Lake.

The missing man is Kevin McCormick and anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 973-838-0158.

Police said McCormick's boat was found unsecured on the nearby shoreline and a search-and-rescue operation began Sunday at 9:55 a.m.

The Passaic County Sherrif's Scuba Team, Passaic County Search and Rescue Team, New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit, New Jersey State Police Water Rescue Team, Bloomingdale Search and Rescue Team, West Milford Search and Rescue Team, Bergen County Canine Unit and the Bloomingdale Fire Department responded.

A representative of Glenwild Lake asked Patch to leave the property and directed inquiries to the Bloomingdale Police Department. Chief Joe Borrell was not immediately available for comment.
