No Power in Tri-Boro After Butler Electric Feeder Line Fails
No estimate when outages will be restored, several roads closed in Kinnelon.
All Butler Electric customers lost power Monday night as Tropical Storm Sandy ripped through the tri-boro.
The JCP&L transmission line that feeds Butler Electric failed Monday night, according to an alert released by the utility company.
The company said there is no estimate when power will be restored.
Butler Electric serves nearly all of the tri-boro and parts of Riverdale and West Milford.
In addition to the outages, Fayson Lakes, Kinnelon, Kakeout and Sleepy Hollow roads as well as Cabot and Old Cow Pasture lanes have been closed, Kinnelon Police said.
A shelter has been opened at Pearl R. Miller School, according to a Nixle alert released Monday at about 8:30 p.m.

Are we saying that Butler Electric ONLY HAS ONE SOURCE for electric power supply?
Can't Butler temporarily get power from another provider until JCP&L repairs the damaged feed lines?
