Powerball Player Wins $10K in Butler

Winning ticket sold at 7-Eleven on Route 23.

 

One lucky Powerball winner purchased a ticket from the 7-Eleven on Route 23 in Butler, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

In a press release about the third-prize winners, who walked away with $10,000 each, the lottery organization said one of the 29 winning third place tickets was sold at the Butler store. Another winning ticket was purchased at AL Supermarket LLC in Wayne.

The Powerball drawing, held Wednesday, had a record $550 million at stake.

In addition to the third-prize winners, $2,745,161 in prizes was given to 450,773 New jersey residents who played. The prizes ranged from $4 to $400.

"Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players,” Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger said in a press release. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”

The winning numbers were 05, 16, 22, 23 and 29 and the Red Powerball number was 6. Another Powerball drawing will be held on Dec. 3 at 11 p.m. The amount was reset after Wednesday's winnings at $40,000,000.
