Pretrial Begins for Woman Accused of Killing Husband
Amalia Mirasola is charged with shooting her husband to death in 2010.
The pretrial hearings of the woman accused of shooting her husband six times inside their Butler home in 2010, killing him, began this week, with phone calls in which she allegedly admitted to the killing played in court Wednesday, according to NJ.com.
Amalia Mirasola was arrested and charged with the murder of her husband, Carl Mirasola, 43 on May 22, 2010. Mirasola, a 47-year-old who suffers from multiple sclerosis and is wheelchair-bound, allegedly told Butler police"I think I shot my husband" when they arrived on the scene.
Amalia Mirasola was indicted by a grand jury in March of 2011.
NJ.com reported Wednesday that the first pretrial hearing included the audio evidence in court. But Kalman Geist, Mirasola's attorney, claimed the recorded comments were not obtained properly since a formal statement was not taken by police.

At least to get an idea of what kinda family your kid hangs around with if they went to the Mirasola's home.
