As negotiations for a new Kinnelon Education Association (KEA) contract continue with the Kinnelon Board of Education, the KEA union representative said teachers have remained committed to their jobs and their community throughout the process.

Several Kinnelon police officers were honored at Thursday's council meeting for their work during arrests dating back to 2007.

Man's Life Saved Thanks to Residents, Police Officer

Two residents were honored, along with several Kinnelon police officers this week, for their assistance with a medical emergency of an elderly man in July. The residents helped administer CPR after the man appeared to be suffering from an apparent heart attack.

Kinnelon High School Renovations on Track

Work is continuing on renovations to the high school track, while installation of turf on the high school football field is also still under consideration.

POW/MIA Recognition Day Observed in Butler

Butler veterans gathered to pay homage to prisoners of war and those missing in action during a special ceremony Friday night.
