Congratulations to our track teams and individual student-athletes for a great showing last weekend at the State Sectional Meet.
Johanna Goergen led the way for the girls as the team finished fourth in the N1G1 sectional meet. Johanna took first in the 400 hurdles beating the second place girl by three seconds in a time of 1:05.17. She then came back the next day winning the 800 by over seven seconds in a time of 2:16.95. These two times place her in the top of her events this weekend.
Niki Rodriguez took fourth in the 3200 in 11:59,
Madison Galascion took sixth in the pole vault with a jump of 8-6 and fifth in the 200 with a time of 27.03.
Marissa Rehberger took fourth in the vault with a jump of 8-6 and Casey Gray qualified in the 400, taking sixth with a time of 63.27.
On the boys side, Troy Andretta won the discuss in a throw of 153-10.
Cristian Graupe took sixth in that same event throwing 128-2.
Chris Vosatka took sixth in the shot with a throw of 42-6.
Both the boys and the girls move onto the Group I finals in Old Bridge on Friday and Saturday.
