Was this a Patch contest I missed? How was this boy picked? Was this a fire department contest? I know alot of families that need help and want to know how this one got picked.

listen "red" you need to back off. you have NO idea what is going on with the fire dept, that is unless you really are a member and you probably just dont show up. the family reached out to the fire dept, and obviously the fire dept is not going to turn away a child. it was not a contest, and you are very rude for even leaving a comment like that on such a beautiful story! keep your comments to yourself cause most people dont want to read them.

It sure is ashame how unprofessional and downhill the Butler Fire Department has gotten. I suppose some younger members are naive and these are the ones that stand on the sidelines but always have an opinion. Why did "pink" and "red" have argue over such a nice article? What shame and embarsent!!!

Well "RED" why don't you get off your @$$ and help the family's that you say you know that need help or that are in need, or wait i guess you can just sit in front of your computer and keep belittling the butler fire dept.

I'm sure that you "wiseman" are any better then the younger members as you say for leaving such a comment. Spell check? I hope the dept can find out who you are since it seems like you all know so much about them and are probably the members that sit or stand as you said on the sidelines. Hi, everyone as a member of the BFD i think that all of you need to grow up and act like adults and use your real names instead of hiding behind something made up. What are you afraid of? I don't find any of this appropriate.

I would Have to Agree With Black, And Ron Johnson. When It Comes to The Christmas Season The Butler Fire Department does something nice for the Kids Every Year. And Like Johnson Said Plain And Simple. That Is What Christmas Is all about.
