Officers of the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department are sworn in at Tuesday's Bloomingdale Council meeting.

Dozens of volunteers were sworn in at the Bloomingdale Council's reorganization meeting Tuesday.
Among them were officials of the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighters raised their hands as they took the Oath of Office administered by Bloomingdale Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy.
Following the firefighters, all volunteers who were present at the meeting and appointed to serve on various boards and commissions also took the Oath of Office.

They will all do a very good job if not a great job. Being a volunteer fire department member is not just a lot of work but a lot of fun too.
