We like Ferati's Pizzeria, the tiny store at the corner of Boonton Avenue and High Street in downtown Butler. It actually has a heritage going back to at least the 1950's starting on Main Street as Casa Di Pizza then around 1968 became Tom's Pizza Inn which moved to the present location around 1970 followed by Steve's Villa from 1975 to the early 1980's then Buon Apetitio until it became Aroma in the early 2000's and now Ferati's.

I don't see any mention of Coney Island Pizza in the above comments. It's a new place next to Rosemary and Sage. Thin crust--wood fired pizza, excellent caesar salad, clams, homemade tiramisu and canollis. Even the fresh mozzarella is homemade on the premises.

Giovanni's Place (at the corner of Boonton Ave and Rt. 23 South) has truly authentic Italian food. In addition to traditional favorites and the finest pizzas, Giovanni's Daily Specials offer some of the most creative and delicious flavor combinations. A meal at Giovanni’s is a true taste of Sicily!

Pizza 1 is home to the "Pizza 1 Challenge". Only a few have accomplished this amazing feat of gut-stuffing glory! Joey Chestnut has NOTHING on the guys who have taken the challenge and won! The sandwich is called "The Fat Bastaad" and is a 14" sandwich in a toasted sub roll with Chicken Cutlet, Cheese Steak, onion rings, 2 different cheeses and topped off with Mayo! To win the challenge, one must eat THREE of these sandwiches in one sitting. This video is of one brave soul who attempted to take on the pizza world and the eating world by completing the challenge, check it out and see if he was able to climb the Mt. Everest of eating challenges! Oh.....and vote for Pizza 1 in this poll...Thanks so much!

Pizza One is very good pizza- one of the better ones, but it's ordinary pizza. Coney Island is in a whole different world and is incomparable. I agree with Lois. It depends what you like, but if you want a slice that will "stand up" on its on, with a crispy, thin crust, then it's Coney Island for sure. If you like the thicker pie with more stuff on it, then go to Pizza One, which is very good. The people at Coney Island are trying very hard and making some great customer relations.

While Pizza 1 appreciates your attempt to be civil by calling their Pizza "good", we do take exception with being called "Ordinary". Here, take a look at their "Nonna" pie. It is anything but ordinary. Their upside down Chicago-style pizza is also anything but ordinary and while we are discussing ordinary, take a look at their focaccia personal pizzas, no, sir...definitely not ordinary, but they thank you for acknowledging that they are in fact "good", it means the world to us. To everyone else, please take a look at the video before deciding if you too think that they are ordinary.

Am I the only one that has eaten at both Coney Island Pizza and Pizza 1 in Haskell ???? Sure, Pizza 1 is good - and we are spoiled in NJ by being surrounded by great pizza.... but Coney Island Pizza is actually DIFFERENT and better - all ingredients and methods come from the source.... if you want something really good and different - treat yourself to Coney Island Pizza - it is above the rest....

...as Ann said, it's a different animal. By the way, Coney Island makes their own fresh mozzarella every day. That in itself is unusual. And their tiramisu and cannolis are also homemade by them.

This is kind of silly to b comparing oranges and apples. It's like saying the pork is good in one place but the shrimp is better in another. Neither of these places needs such vigorous promoting because they're both good in their own way.

I work for Roma foods and im in 50 pizza shops daily, I have to say that pizza 1 is the best pizza I have ever tasted. and the wraps and panini sandwiches are phenomenal. The owner Dante is always present during business hours overseeing everything, he truly cares about his customers and employees and delivers a fantastic product consistently every day. As a salesman for Roma Foods, i hear about Pizza One everywhere i go talking to other businesses and pizza shops....bottom line is everyone is catching on to Pizza One and i'm impressed and so are other Pizza Shop owners who are constantly asking about what Pizza One is up to.

Pizza 1 is the ONLY place that I will give my business to. They prepare the best dishes from a catering order to a relaxing night at home with a simple pizza and sandwiches. I drive 20 minutes to pick up my order, and it is well worth it! If you live in the area, you know you order from Pizza 1 at least 3 times a week! The best around...pure excellence! Thanks Pizza 1 for always giving us the best quality of food and service.
