It's consistent, accomodating, priced reasonably, informal and the food is delicious with plenty of variety.

We like Ferati's, located at Boonton Ave at the intersection of High St., Kiel Ave and Park Place. It is actually the oldest continuous pizzeria in the Tri-Boro area albeit under various owners and names. Back in the 1950's it was Casa Di Pizza on Main Street (part of what is now Vanderhoff Heating & A/C), then became Tom's Pizza Inn during the mid 1960's moved to the Boonton Ave location about 40 in the early 1970's then became Steve's Villa for a number of years, Buono Apetito for a very long time, Aroma Pizza in the early 2000's (which moved from Wayne) and then Ferati's about 2 years ago. It is a small cozy place with only 5 tables but that doesn't matter because we usually pick up or get it delivered.

AJ's items are very good, that I can not deny. Their delivery is often estmated at 30 to 45 minutes but then it's at our door in 10 to 20 minutes. The big problem why we stopped ordering from AJ's is that they by their own admission are very heavy on the garlic in everything requiring sauce, saying they don't even have sauce without it -- which is too bad because members of my family including myself are, let's say, allergic to garlic. Also whenever we've placed our order, the call taker usually has to put us on hold multiple times to answer another line, a testament to their popularity. Because of that, despite AJ's delicous products, our first choice is Ferati's and second choice is the Butler location of the growing Anthony Franco chain.

Giovanni's Place is the best because it is a true "Mom and Pop" Italian eating experience - the kind you find in the best trattorias and osterias in Italy - where tourists are rarely seen. Home-made, fresh soups, pasta, pizza, pastries, and one of a kind Sicilian specialties. Mangia!

Aj's? San Giorgios is easily the best, if you haven't been there you have to check it out. 2nd best would be Postianos.....

Aren't we lucky to have so many Italian style restaurants whether eat in or take out in our area? Many parts of country only get chains like Pizza Hut, CiCi's, Papa John's etc. Having said that our kids would love to have a CiCi's close by with their $5 per person all you can eat pizza buffet but there are only a handful within 90 minutes of our TriBoro area.

Giovanni's has the best selection of "homemade" Italian Food - when you eat there it feels like home - relaxing - warm and staff is "welcoming"

Giovannis Giovanni's GIovannis! It is the single best Italian restaurant around! The prices are great, food is phenomenal, and atmosphere is very comfortable. The only thing better than the food are the owners, Melina and John! Vote for Giovanni's everyone!!!!!

Danny's all the way! The pizza is the best around without any doubt. If you think the any of the others then you haven't tried the pizza. Authentic scicilian experience, and a warm environment. And it's a plus that he is actually from Italy

Ken needs to get a life and stop critizing everyone. Put your nice comments about where like to eat and shut up. You're actually giving aj's a bad name by the way you talk.

AJ, I am glad that you now have sauce without garlic. But I did ask the question in person when I was picking it up about a year or two ago and the person I was speaking with was one of the adults in charge. We will give it a try. Thanks.
