Woman Charged With Possession of Weapon, Drugs
The following arrest information was supplied by the Kinnelon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A Wayne woman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a prohibited weapon in Kinnelon Monday after police said she was allegedly found to be in possession of a switchblade knife, Xanax, Vicodin and Hydrocodone without a prescription.
According to police, Denise L. Gaeta, 51, was driving a 2011 Ford on Route 23 North at 9:39 a.m. when she was stopped for allegedly having a suspended driver’s license. Police said they asked Gaeta why her license was suspended, but did not get a clear answer.
Police also said Gaeta allegedly appeared nervous and that a computer check revealed a warrant out for her arrest out of Little Falls.
After searching her vehicle, police allegedly found the drugs and knife.
Gaeta was arrested and transported to the Kinnelon police station. In addition to the possession charges, Gaeta was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving with a suspended license and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. She was released after paying $283 on the Little Falls warrant.
