During tough economic times, those that are down on their luck often times find it hard to get food on the table. That's where the Interfaith Food Pantry comes in. The Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational non-profit organization that provides food and groceries to Morris County families in need. Recently, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) helped support the pantry with a $5,000 donation. Last year, the pantry fell on hard times because a 13 percent increase from May through July in demand for food staples had nearly stripped the pantry of supplies. Bow Tie Cinemas, the company purchasing 41 Clearview Cinemas locations, won't be acquiring the Kinnelon 3 theater.
Hard on the heels of news that Cablevision, which owns movie chain Clearview Cinemas, is selling 41 of its theaters in the tri-state region, including 21 in New Jersey, to Connecticut-based Bow Tie Cinemas comes word that the Kinnelon 3 Cinema will shut its doors for good sometime in the near future. Bow Tie says the decision belongs to the Kinnelon 3's landlord, which decided to close the movie house when its lease expires. The theater, also known as the Kinnelon Arts Centre, is located at 1451 Route 23. Calls to the theater and to Clearview Cinemas management regarding the reason for and projected date of the closing were not returned by press time. Data shows the hospital was scored as having a higher number of patients who develop blood clots than in the average scored hospital.
