Officials Could Create Economic Development Commission

Committee would advocate on behalf of businesses and find ways of bringing new businesses to the borough.

Butler officials may take action Monday to help bolster the borough’s business community.

The council is scheduled to vote on an ordinance that, if approved, would create the Butler Economic Development Committee.

Economic development committees are municipal-run groups that are designed to help a municipality’s business community. They often discuss ways of bringing new businesses to a community and act on behalf of already existing businesses, advocating for their well-being.
