Ask Taylor: How Can I Look More Fashionable While Working at Camp?

You ask for fashion advice, Kinnelon fashionista Taylor Fantozzi answers.

For this week's fashion question, Melissa Blistein, asks: Taylor, I work at a camp all summer and I'm wondering how I can spice up my wardrobe during those really hot, sticky summer days? Hope you can help me out with some tips and pointers!

Welcome to camp season! Yes, camp is all about fun and getting a little messy, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to "spice up" your Summer camp ensemble from time to time! Here are are some helpful and fun fashion suggestions to make your camp wardrobe more feminine and help you enjoy those hot summer days:

It is possible to look fashionable and athletic while beating the heat with two staples: tennis skorts and Crocs! Skorts are no longer just for Tennis ladies! They give every athletic sport a "feminine"appeal. Skorts can be worn for just about every sporting event or aerobic activity and with your camp staff shirt. Shorts can be unflattering for some, and made of heavy materials, so try a skort and do not be surprised when the other camp staff (or ladies in your aerobics class) also "sport a skort!"

Some may argue that Crocs are not "fashionable,"nor "flattering." However, for camp, they are extremely accessible and when personalized with your own Jibbitz, very fashionable. Invest in a pair of crocs, which will withstand the camp environment and save your more fashionable sneakers for the gym!

Taylor's quick Tip: Two camp accessory must haves? Sunscreen and a water bottle. Be-dazzle your own, you will start a trend! Also, when the camp day is over, ditch those Crocs for a pair of heels!
