Music in the Park begins new season with blend of classic, marches and patriotic tunes.

The Butler Music in the Park series kicked off Thursday night with the first of three concerts as the  performed a medley of songs, including classics, marches, patriotic music and even Broadway at Butler Borough Park.

The band, which started in Butler more than 100 years ago, still practices as the Butler Senior Center. Its members come from area towns and perform for free.
