UPDATED: Butler and Bloomingdale School Dismissing Early, Regardless of Snow

Everything you need to know about today's unexpected snow storm.

You probably weren't expecting to wake up on the first day of spring to snow-covered streets. But then again, neither were your local officials in the Department of Public Works.

We're treating today's snowy day the same as those that took place in the heart of January. Here is what you need to know today.

  • You Need to Know Which School Districts are Dismissing Early: and are dismissing early today, but not because of the snow. The districts had planned early dismissal days for teacher conferences.
  • You Need to Know the Roads are Slick, But Not Closed: So far, no roads are closed in Butler, Bloomingdale or Kinnelon, but public safety officials are cautioning drivers to drive carefully as some cars have gotten stuck. 
  • You Need to Know Sports Scrimmages at Are Canceled: The girls varsity and junior varsity softball scrimmages scheduled for today have been canceled, as well as golf practice. scrimmages are also canceled, but girls and boys lacrosse and tennis practice will still be held.
