Change the World

Change the World is a global movement of United Methodists doing what they can to improve lives and community.

In April 2010 over 100,000 people from over 1,000 churches united with a common purpose over a 48 hour period to make a world of difference in both large and  small ways.  In over 13 countries and every state in the U.S. people energetically worked to build community locally and fight malaria globally during "Change the World" weekend.

Congregations worked together with residents in their communities and "took to the streets" to serve in their communities.

Last year the Butler United Methodist Church along with local residents did various tasks in their community;  downtown clean-up, painting, brick work, home repairs for senior citizens, feeding the hungry, and cleaning local animal shelter, all while building lasting friendships.

Won't you join us this year for "Change the World" 2011 on May 14th and 15th as we try to "Imagine NO Malaria" globally and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors locally.  To volunteer or for more information call 973-838-2026 or visit www.bumc.org
