Good Character Rewarded in SRD Students

Principal Sherri Glaab read names of students selected by teachers for demonstrating respect and responsibility.

Several Samuel R. Donald School students were honored for showing good character during the Bloomingdale Board of Education's Dec. 10 meeting.

According to Principal Sherri Glaab, students are chosen each marking period for demonstrating different character values. This year, the school implemented a new program, Growing Together, where the students who are recognized for the character awards will have their names added to a tree mural that will be part of a creativity garden the school is building in the courtyard. As more children are honored, more names will be added to the tree.

Responsibility: Ayame Ciocoiu, Lauren Spencer, Kaitlyn Duca, Emily Keegan, Alexa Ullrich, Jovana Lekic, Tyler Brown, Matthew Mastej, Ashley Campbell and Cristian Verrico.
