Tri-boro residents were out and about preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Irene Thursday. Octogenarian Frank Kerr has survived typhoons, hurricanes and other weather mayhem and says he's ready but not worried.
Charles Scarmazzo, of Bloomingdale, remembered the floods that threatened an area dam. Carol Digiacomo was buying last minute supplies, while Iro Dimitrakopoulis and Evi Siskos were feeling the energy of the storm and embracing it with humor and prayful respect.
