Kinnelon Pride Festival Planning Already Underway

Last year, more than 1,500 Kinnelon residents attended the borough's first K-Fest.

second annual K-Fest has been scheduled and organizers are already beginning to plan this year's October event.

Borough Councilman Jim Freda, who was instrumental in helping the borough organize last year's event, said K-Fest will be held on Oct. 7 from around 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is held at Lake Rickabear and features free food, games, demonstrations and crafts, as well as an area for local vendors to share their products.

"Last year, we had over 1,500 residents attend this event and it was a lot of work for a small group of volunteers," Freda said.

Freda said he is hoping to begin recruiting volunteers immediately. The K-Fest organizers are also seeking donations and a commitment from anyone in the community interested in showing off a special talent or hosting a demonstration.
