Rita's to Give Out Free Italian Ice Today
Rita's Ice, in Butler, is offering free regular-sized Italian ices today.
, in Butler, is celebrating Free Rita's Day today by offering patrons one free regular-sized Italian ice per customer.
The Butler Rita's is part of a franchise and Owner Kristie Anderson said the company has been sponsoring the event for more than 20 years. Rita's is a seasonal restaurant offering Italian ice and custard in many varieties. Rita's in Butler opened for the season on March 1.
Anderson said that about half of the flavors the company has to offer will be available for free today.

"We have over 40 flavors and I'll probably have about 20," she said.

On a daily basis, Anderson asks her customers what flavors they would like to see featured and lists the flavors of the day through the Rita's Ice of Butler Facebook page.
