Bloomingdale Mayor Jonathan Dunleavy is accepting applications for the borough’s annual Pride Day.
Pride Day is the borough’s annual family festival. Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will have tables and information. There will be amusement park rides, and live music, among other forms of entertainment.
“It’s a real community-building, Norman Rockwell-type event,” Dunleavy said. “It’s a great time for everyone, installs involvement, and fosters an attitude of taking care of each other.”
Local dance schools and karate schools performed demonstrations at last year’s Pride Day. More than 60 vendors participated.
The event will begin after a special charity run for the Kochka family is held. Bob Kochka was diagnosed with stage four Pancreatic Cancer earlier this year. Kochka is a Bloomingdale firefighter.
Vendors interested in participating in Pride Day should call Dunleavy at 973-723-2695.
