What is The Most Unusual Halloween 'Treat' You Ever Got?

Halloween is coming and it reminds me of pumpkins, haunted houses and pennies.

That's right, pennies...as in one cent.

When I was of Trick-or-Treating age, I used to dress up in my costume on Halloween, get together at a friend's house and we would make our rounds in Fayson Lakes. By the time we were old enough to really enjoy the candy, we knew which houses to go to for the good stuff (one house always gave warm candy apples) and which houses we'd almost be better off avoiding.

We avoided these houses because we knew we'd get a lousy "treat" there. I distinctly remember getting packets of laundry detergent, highlighters and even a handful of pennies at some.
