Performance begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Star Lake Camp Lodge.

The Bloomingdale Children’s Choir will be performing a set of contemporary pop hits and classic patriotic tunes in a special live concert on Wednesday.

“The Bloomingdale Children’s Choir features 19 talented fourth, fifth and sixth graders, who came together to build a stronger sense of community through song,” school officials said. “The group recently performed at a Town Council Meeting and also performed America the Beautiful at the Memorial Day Parade in Bloomingdale and Butler.”

The performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at the Star Lake Camp Lodge, located at 286 Macopin Rd. in Bloomingdale.

The Bloomingdale Children's Choir is operated by the Bloomingdale Recreation department. They practice each Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m.

The choir's mission, Tuck said, is to encourage music appreciation, increase music education and to "promote self-confidence and self-esteem through a wonderful enriching program [and] the opportunities to perform."
