Giovanni's Brings Brooklyn Pizza to Kinnelon

Giovanni's was this week's stop on our Best Pizza of the Tri-boro Tour.

We were pretty sure we had thepicked last week, when we and all gave it high scores. But this week, Giovanni's is giving Danny's a run for its money.

Located on the corner of Route 23 South and Boonton Avenue, Giovanni's has been serving pizza and Italian dishes for seven years in Kinnelon.

Owners Giovanni and Melina Impelluso have been in the pizza business for more than 40 years, starting in Brooklyn. Giovanni said he and his wife retired after working in Brooklyn, but shortly after, they missed being on their feet and in the kitchen (the two love to cook).

While they pride themselves on their "beautiful" Italian dishes, Giovanni makes the pizzas himself also.

"I just use quality products," he said when asked what makes his pizza special.
