What Should Replace Five Guys?

Patch wants to hear your ideas for filling vacant business buildings.

Sometimes business vacancies in town can be the result of a game of retail musical chairs, and that can mean news both good and bad.

The arts and crafts store move a year ago to the Troy Hills Shopping Center was great news for the mall, but the . But what comes around goes around: The Troy Hills mall now has to fill a hole left by the move of the burger franchise from 1103 Route 46 to 804 Route 46 (which is great news, of course, for Arlington Plaza, where it now resides).

The goal now is to fill the space where Five Guys used to be, which would be great news for remaining mall merchants, including ,  and .

So what do you think would work for the space? Tell us what you would like to see fill Five Guys' old retail space in the comments. We will take your suggestions and pass them along to Mayor James Barberio, who says he is working hard to bring ratables to Parsippany.

Please share what ideas you may have that would make sense for the site. Your suggestion just may be the one to bring a new business into town and inject some life into Troy Hills Shopping Center. Share your thoughts below.

Put a Trader Joe's in Troy Hills Plaza whenever Walgreens finally moves to the Baldwin Plaza.

I'd love to see a Chick-fil-A in Parsippany. There are none in the area.

More importantly when are they going to stop towing commuters cars from the car park? We are shoppers there too however they have no problem removing our cars. The towing appears illegal also as the signs say 4 hour minimum not 4 hour maximum for customer parking but you complaint to the mall owners and they ignore you. So basically put what you want there I will not be going.
