Bloomingdale and Kinnelon BOEs Meet And More This Week

Lots happening in the Tri-Boro.

The Bloomingdale Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the Walter T. Bergen School Library. On the agenda for this week's gathering, members are expected to consider approving a shared services proposal with the borough for the purpose of school landscaping from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. 

Two Tuesday Butler opportunities exist to try Zumba, the high-energy exercise routine based on Latin dance. Dance and shed pounds at On the Move Performing Arts Center, 1574 Route 23, at 6:30 p.m. (Another class is avaiable at On the Move Wednesday at 8 p.m.) Or, at 7 p.m., try Zumba at Aaron Decker School, 98 Decker Road. Both classes cost $5 per session.

Interested in reading? Need someone to discuss literature with? Check out the cleverly titled Bloomingtales Book Club. The group meets this Wednesday and every Wednesday at the Bloomingdale Free Public Library, 101 Hamburg Tpke. Admission is free.

A municipal doubleheader comes to one-third of the Tri-Boro Thursday: The Kinnelon Borough Council gathers for its monthly workshop meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building. Meanwhile, The Kinnelon Board of Education meets at 8 p.m. in the Kinnelon High School auditorium, 123 Kinnelon Road.

The Kinnelon Girls Softball Association hosts "A Night in Tuscany" Fundraiser Friday at Our Lady of the Magnificat School, 2 Miller Rd. The festive event includes a 50/50 drawing, raffles, prizes and fun to benefit KGSA.
