Bloomingdale Students Fight Bullying

Students create movie trailer addressing harassment, intimidation and bullying issues.

In recognition of their efforts for creating a movie trailer addressing Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB), Walter T. Bergen students Rachel Bocchiaro, Veronica Schmidt, Rebecca Wistuk and Ruby Bocchiaro were awarded certificates for a free kid’s meal at TGI Friday’s.

Pictured with the students are Principal Frank Verducci and School Counselor Rachel Millward.

Aside from October being National Bullying Prevention Month, New Jersey schools participated in a “Week of Respect” earlier in the month. At Walter T. Bergen, students participated in various school wide activities to identify ways of addressing HIB in school and at home.
