New Year Means Time to Reorganize This Week

New Board of Education, council members to be sworn in.

New Council Members to Take Oath of Office

This week, borough councils and committees throughout the state will have their annual reorganization meetings. As mandated, all newly elected officials must be sworn in by Jan. 7, as well as incumbent officials who won re-election. Re-organization meetings are also the time for borough and school board professionals to be chosen and committee appointments to be made.

In Bloomingdale, newly elected council members Rich Dellaripa and Mike Sondermeyer will take the oath of office at 2 p.m. on New Year's Day (Tuesday) at Bloomingdale Borough Hall.

Kinnelon's new council member, Carol Sventy, will take the oath of office along with incumbent Dan O'Dougherty at the Kinnelon Council reorganization meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building on Kinnelon Road. Read the agenda for the meeting here.
