Kinnelon Native to Kick Off Baseball Season With Tampa Bay Rays [MAP]

Twenty-four-year-old Sean Bierman will begin his first season with the Tampa Bay Rays after being drafted to the team in 2012. Bierman is a pitcher and was a standout athlete throughout his high school career, according to Kinnelon High School Athletic Director Scott Rosenberg.

Ice Rescuers Recognized in Bloomingdale

Several Bloomingdale volunteers who risked their own lives trying to save two men who fell through the ice of Lake Iosco in February were honored by the borough council at its March 26 meeting.

A Vernon man was taken to Chilton Hospital on March 31 after police said a drunken driver flipped his Hummer over the Route 23 North barrier, landing on the man's Volkswagen.

The family and friends of Omar Monroig, a Butler man who died one year ago from injuries sustained after he was struck in a hit-and-run, gathered in a parking lot Saturday near where their loved one was hit by a driver who remains unfound.
